I was wrong about mediation, kind of...

Mediation in the church is real, but it's not the biggest problem.

It hit me on the drive in: every system needs an uneducated population, and every uneducated population needs a gate. Modern Christianity is no exception — it runs on gatekeeping, and the modern pastor is the gatekeeper.

Yeshua said as much to the Torah scholars of his own day: "You have taken away the key of knowledge" (Luke 11:52). Same key. Different hands.

This isn't the whole thought. It's the crack in the door. More coming.
